Jingle Belles!

Fashionista Sisters, this time of the year is not just for tree decorating!  It is for dressing decoratively.

All of us have parties to attend so all of us, naturally, have to look fabulous and should never wear the same outfit twice (even if you will not be seen twice by the same person!).

I have trawled my fave online sites for the below items....and are my personal faves for this festive season & New Year.

Check out the Dannijo & Gemma Redux (LOVE her) necklaces....I'm DYING for them.

Enjoy!

Print Passion!

I’m crazy for a hot print.  Albeit a dress, floaty pants or even a teeny weenie printed bikini!

The trick to wearing prints is to keep your accessories (shoes, bags, jewellery) simple.  The print is the statement & worn properly, it is the chicest statement in town!

If wearing printed pants, pair with a plain, base colour top of choice but do not wear a busy style (t-shirt, tank or even a cami work well).

Here are some of my current season favourites.

Enjoy

Designer Crush! Megan Park

Summer (and warm weather) is fast approaching in Melbourne and so I have dedicated some parts of my weekends lately looking for summery dresses.  This summer, I want floaty, feminine dresses that I can feel gorgeous wearing, even if it's just around the house or running errands!

Whilst browsing in Hoss, I discovered Megan Park.

An Australian born and based designer, Megan studied at RMIT before heading to London to design textiles for the likes of Dries van Noten & Kenzo!

She started her own label in 1997 and now how has womenswear, accessories, girls and homeware lines.

I'm in love with Megan's use of fabrics and her extremely feminine designs.  The floaty style of her tops and dresses is just perfect on a warm summer day or night.

Below are some styles from Megan's current collection.

Please visit http://www.meganpark.co.uk/stockists.php for stockists or if you are lucky (like moi!) and reside in Melbourne, you can visit Megan's boutique in High Street Armadale.

Enjoy!

Well Say Hello to Yellow!

It all started with an amazing Alexander Wang silk tank that I found at Shopbop (pic below).  Devastated that it is sheer (I am a 30-something woman that does not believe in flashing my assets!), I went on the hunt for some alternative yellow items for my Summer wardrobe.

Yellow is fresh, fun and vibrant. Yellow is on-trend this season.  A statement colour, it should be worn as the highlight of any outfit.  It looks great accessorised with turqouise and gold jewellery!

I found (and purchased) a gorgeous pair of leather yellow flats from Zara ($79.95 thank you very much!).

Aside from the AW tank & Zara heels, below are some of my favourite picks from the selection of yellow currently availablde in-store and online.

Enjoy!

OMG YSL & Saks....you make me so happy!

The DHL delivery man rang my mobile this morning, announcing that he was outside my office building with a package for me.

Low and behold peoples....it was my YSL Arty Ring in the coveted and unattainable Turquoise!

One problem....it is a size 5, the very same size as my other YSL Arty BUT this size 5 is smaller...I need a cold running tap to get this ring off....LOL!

It is NOT going back to Saks Fifth Avenue (and thanks Saks btw!).  I have actually lusted after this ring for almost 2 years and searched everywhere for it online...but it was sold out!  On my regular hunt last week, I found this one at Saks...only in size 5 and only 1 left.

We were meant to be.  I see purples, yellows, animal print (naturally) and this ring with me together in chic bliss!

I'm so happy & very much in love...for what will surely last a lot longer than Kim Kardashian's marriage!

...and here it is...firmly on my finger!

Emerald City!

I'm loving the current trend toward emerald.

A statement colour, emerald is a fabulous and modern way to brighten up the work, casual or evening outfit.

The colour is perfect for your colour-blocking outfit or simply chic paired with black or white.

Here are some of my favourite finds.

Oh Witchery!

I just LOVE these current pieces from Witchery.

The best part is that I will have change from $280!

Each piece can be worn together or seperately but perfectly & most importantly, all are justifiable spends for the coming warmer months in Melbourne.

Team with some turquoise jewellery, an oversized bag and sunnies and you're hot to trot at the beach or hanging in the sun at a Bar or BBQ!

In my opinion, the bikini is TO-DIE!  It is not yet on sale...but coming soon.

Head over to http://www.witchery.com.au/ & enjoy

Clutch Crazy!

I just wanted to share my brand new clutch that I am so excited about!  It's the House of Harlow Tilly Clutch and I purchased it from The Trend Boutique (as all other online stores did not ship this item to Australia)!  Obvi I am happy about this as I have the coveted item almost defintely to myself!  It is sold out pretty much everywhere online.

It's black pony hair with gold studs....so chic!  The clutch has an optional long gold chain so can also be used as a hand-bag (not my thing).

I am going to rock this clutch with a gorgeous Carven asymetrical gown next month at the Starry Starry Nights ball.

And then...this clutch will become a staple of mine for evenings out.  Imagining skinny jeans, stilettos and a chic top..topped off with the edgy style that is...MY House of Harlow Tilly!

LOVE!!

Like a little girl in a candy shop!

I've been a busy girl...no blogging for over a week.  Need to change something so I have more time!

One thing I have had time to do, is snag some highly sought after tickets to the Starry Starry Nights Ball in November.  The event sold out in 10 minutes, and I am excited to be a part of something so special and for such a wonderful cause.

Yes, Monbulk to Miu Miu indeed!

Now...for the serious stuff!  Princess Mary will be leading the chic ladies.  I need a gown!

I have come to the conclusion that I am an accessories girl and not a 'dress' girl.  You have to be one or the other - a statement dress is exactly that...minimal to zero accessories required.  I prefer my dress to be my canvas...something I can use to showcase my creativity via my accessories.

Black Tie is a serious opportunity to showcase your inner chic and be a glamazon.

Okay....so given I am an accessories girl, I have settled on a very stylish (yet understated sexy) asymmetrical black gown by designer Carven.  With this decision behind me, I have 6 weeks to locate the perfect shoes (naturally, must be at least 15cm heels), clutch and jewels.

Hair-up appointment?  Tick.  Mani & Pedi appointment?  Tick.  Spray Tan appointment?  Tick.

Can you tell I am excited?

Here are some of my favourite Black Tie finds, naturally, to make my readers excited for me and perhaps feel inspired to bring some chic glamour into lives...."just because it's fun to be chic!"

I will post as I create my outfit as well, of course, pictures and glamour stories from the night itself!

Enjoy
