Print Passion!

I’m crazy for a hot print.  Albeit a dress, floaty pants or even a teeny weenie printed bikini!

The trick to wearing prints is to keep your accessories (shoes, bags, jewellery) simple.  The print is the statement & worn properly, it is the chicest statement in town!

If wearing printed pants, pair with a plain, base colour top of choice but do not wear a busy style (t-shirt, tank or even a cami work well).

Here are some of my current season favourites.

Enjoy

Designer Crush! Megan Park

Summer (and warm weather) is fast approaching in Melbourne and so I have dedicated some parts of my weekends lately looking for summery dresses.  This summer, I want floaty, feminine dresses that I can feel gorgeous wearing, even if it's just around the house or running errands!

Whilst browsing in Hoss, I discovered Megan Park.

An Australian born and based designer, Megan studied at RMIT before heading to London to design textiles for the likes of Dries van Noten & Kenzo!

She started her own label in 1997 and now how has womenswear, accessories, girls and homeware lines.

I'm in love with Megan's use of fabrics and her extremely feminine designs.  The floaty style of her tops and dresses is just perfect on a warm summer day or night.

Below are some styles from Megan's current collection.

Please visit http://www.meganpark.co.uk/stockists.php for stockists or if you are lucky (like moi!) and reside in Melbourne, you can visit Megan's boutique in High Street Armadale.

Enjoy!

Well Say Hello to Yellow!

It all started with an amazing Alexander Wang silk tank that I found at Shopbop (pic below).  Devastated that it is sheer (I am a 30-something woman that does not believe in flashing my assets!), I went on the hunt for some alternative yellow items for my Summer wardrobe.

Yellow is fresh, fun and vibrant. Yellow is on-trend this season.  A statement colour, it should be worn as the highlight of any outfit.  It looks great accessorised with turqouise and gold jewellery!

I found (and purchased) a gorgeous pair of leather yellow flats from Zara ($79.95 thank you very much!).

Aside from the AW tank & Zara heels, below are some of my favourite picks from the selection of yellow currently availablde in-store and online.

Enjoy!

OMG YSL & Saks....you make me so happy!

The DHL delivery man rang my mobile this morning, announcing that he was outside my office building with a package for me.

Low and behold peoples....it was my YSL Arty Ring in the coveted and unattainable Turquoise!

One problem....it is a size 5, the very same size as my other YSL Arty BUT this size 5 is smaller...I need a cold running tap to get this ring off....LOL!

It is NOT going back to Saks Fifth Avenue (and thanks Saks btw!).  I have actually lusted after this ring for almost 2 years and searched everywhere for it online...but it was sold out!  On my regular hunt last week, I found this one at Saks...only in size 5 and only 1 left.

We were meant to be.  I see purples, yellows, animal print (naturally) and this ring with me together in chic bliss!

I'm so happy & very much in love...for what will surely last a lot longer than Kim Kardashian's marriage!

...and here it is...firmly on my finger!
